I don’t support Moms for Liberty. I do support Jodi Treharne for Linn-Mar

Saturday’s Oct. 28 Gazette editorial with its picks for Linn-Mar School Board has hit a new low, if that is possible. The paper that calls itself a family newspaper with subscription ads that say “Get facts you can trust” is being ruined by Todd Dorman and his cronies.

I do like some of their picks but not for the non-reasons listed in the editorial. In fact, the only reason for the Gazette’s picks is that they are not endorsed by Moms for Liberty (M4L as used later for brevity.) The worst conclusion suggests that candidate Jodi Treharne, who has rejected endorsements from any organization, is disqualified because Dorman found her campaign sign next to some others who are endorsed by M4L.

That is one of the most hate-filled reasons for supporting or not supporting a candidate. That rejection literally makes no logical sense, let alone an editorial pick.

By the way, I am not a supporter of M4L. But I am a supporter of Jodi Treharne. Check out her Facebook campaign or her statement of why she is running as printed in Friday’s Oct. 27 Gazette. Vote in the election Nov. 7. Your vote counts.
