Hype doesn’t live up to the reality

Am I the only one who finds it interesting GO Cedar Rapids - which lost over $2 million on its failed festival, failed to pay vendors or canceled vendors' checks to the tune of $300,000, and isn't sure when its bills and employees will be paid - hired a new chief executive? Whatever could have gone wrong with this debacle did.
It is clear there was absolutely no oversight by the GO Cedar Rapids board. I feel sorry for those businesses and vendors who bought into the hype GO Cedar Rapids sold them and now are realizing what a mistake it was to do so. I'm sure the next time GO Cedar Rapids comes up with bright idea, it will be met with well-deserved skepticism by Cedar Rapids.
