How can Coralville ‘cannibalize’ the state tournament?

Is it true that the new facility in Coralville might be chosen for future state volleyball tournaments? I think it is sad if they are allowed to cannibalize what has been a long tradition of holding this tournament in Cedar Rapids. I use the word "cannibalize" deliberately since that word was used to prevent a casino from being built in Cedar Rapids several years ago. Some days you just can't win. Why?
