Housing inmates upholds the law

Regarding the Johnson County proposed justice center project:
Law enforcement officers took an oath to uphold the law. As long as this is the case, we are not about to turn our heads if we witness the violation of laws. If the law you violate mandates that you must go to jail, we must have space to accommodate. At this time, we have to take the “overflow” to other county jails at a terrific cost to the taxpayers.
Why do you feel we should not have room for you? A lot of people have said there are too many minorities being jailed. If they do the crime, they have to do the time, no matter who they are.
