We are losing World War II veterans at an ever increasing pace. I am with the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight and we are playing a losing battle of beat the clock to reach members 'of the greatest generation” and provide them with a no expense paid opportunity to see memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice. If you know a World War II veteran, ask him if he is interested in such a trip. They will travel in the company of their fellow veterans and will be well cared for the entire day.
Visit our website, eihonorflight.org, for an application. Many is the time we are told, 'I don't think I should go, I did not do anything special.” You wore the uniform and served when called upon. That is special enough. Please help us reach World War II veterans.
