Honor Flight a privilege all vets should experience
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 20, 2009 11:57 pm
I had the privilege of going on the Honor Flight on Nov. 10 and would like to thank the sponsors and volunteers who made it possible. Thank you to Mary Clepp who worked very hard and did a terrific job and the volunteers of the Honor Flight from the Quad Cities.
Special thanks to Tim Dolan, my guardian, who spend the day with me. He did a tremendous job.
To the three students, Morgan, Eric and Danille of Prairie High School, for the letters of thanks. It was an honor and I will treasure them.
The day was very interesting and enjoyable. I hope every World War II veteran will get a chance to make the trip next year when they start the flights again.
