Hobby Lobby entitled to beliefs

I was a little disturbed by the comments made by Sue Dirks in her Aug. 14 letter 'Hobby Lobby's decisions upsetting.”
I found them not only hypocritical, but mean-spirited, as well.
First, on the topic of religious freedom, Hobby Lobby in no way dictates how their employees must worship, or even that they do. However, the company is family-owned, and the family has a right to their beliefs, a fact Dirks would deny.
Neither do they tell their employees how they should practice birth control; merely that there are certain methods they personally do not approve of and do not feel they should have to pay for. That, too, is their right.
And as far as opening a store near other craft stores as a reason not to shop there, that is what our free enterprise system is all about.
How many McDonald's do you find near a Hardee's or Wendy's?
Does Dirks now wish to deny me my freedom of choice? Of course, Dirks has the right not to shop at Hobby Lobby, and I wish her well with her choices. Would that she be as tolerant of the choices of others.
