Hinson, Reynolds ignoring women

As many parents know, raising a child is not without worry. We worry about their health, safety, and happiness from birth through adulthood. Sadly, now, as a mother, one of my worries is that the rights and freedoms of my children are being taken away. My daughter now has fewer freedoms as a woman in America than I have had during my life.
Politicians like Gov. Kim Reynolds and U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson are ignoring voters. They think they can do as they please even though it goes against what the majority of Iowans want. We know that given the chance, both will ban abortion in Iowa. Ashley Hinson has already signed on to support a nationwide abortion ban in the House of Representatives. Despite being unpopular with the majority of Iowans, Hinson and her fellow Republicans will vote to pass this if they win the majority in the midterm elections. And, if given the chance, Reynolds will severely restrict abortion in Iowa, despite objections from voters.
Banning abortion is part of a wider effort to control our bodies and our lives. We need to protect everyone's fundamental right to control their own bodies, including whether to have an abortion, and everyone should have options when it comes to making personal health care decisions. This November it is important to research candidates and vote. Who will protect the rights and freedoms of Iowans? Liz Mathis and Deidre DeJear will protect our rights.
