Hinson is not focused on Iowans’ struggles

Weekly unemployment claims in Iowa totaled a record 67,334 earlier this month - the third week in a row of unprecedented increases in jobless claims. The coronavirus pandemic forced thousands of Iowa's health care, manufacturing, retail, food service, and construction workers to apply for assistance so they can continue to pay their bills and feed their families. Meanwhile, Ashley Hinson was focused on bragging to Washington bigwigs about her fundraising numbers. One has to wonder who is funding Hinson's campaign. Certainly it can't be her grassroots constituents who are struggling to make ends meet, let alone find money to prop up her political ladder.
Hinson's boasting that her campaign is 'full steam ahead” in D.C. political meetings shows at best a lack of perception, and at worst, insensitivity to everyday Iowans' current struggles. Iowans expect and deserve better.
