Hinson is a good person, but not a good representative

Ashley Hinson has a voting record that is very concerning. She railed against the shortage of baby formula but voted against a bill that would ease the shortage. She has been consistent on the environment, shown by her "no" votes on at least 5 bills that would have addressed climate change. She is pro-birth, shown by her vote against ensuring access to abortion. Although Congress came up with a weak bipartisan bill on gun violence, she voted against it. She voted against an infrastructure bill which provides Iowa money to address our failing bridges. She voted against the bill to protect voting rights from the hundreds of voting suppression bills being passed by states. Finally, although the integrity of the last election was established by counting and recounting votes and by judges Trump appointed, she has never disputed the claim that the election was stolen.
Sadly, Hinson's negative votes are alarmingly and consistently against the legislation that would address many major problems. She undoubtedly is a lovely lady and a wonderful mother, but as a representative — not so much.
