Hillary Clinton will lead with experience

To the editor:
As important a job as is the presidency, it reoccurs to me that little if any experience is needed to run for president. Is on-the-job training enough preparedness for the events that we are witnessing every day around the world that require thorough examination and experience, especially in foreign affairs, which is of utmost important to our overall safety?
When our country was established little formal education was available to most or even existed. Lincoln was self educated. Before this time frame in history, a call to arms was raised when our enemies were attacking. Initially there was no trained army. Farmers, businessmen etc. took up weapons to protect their families and banded together.
Times have changed and yet the standards have not to lead the most powerful nation. There is an age requirement to run for office and a requirement to be a natural born citizen.
Nothing can replace good ol' experience in leading this country forward. Experience is a dear teacher. Few candidates running have this kind of experience except one, and that is Hillary Clinton. There is not time enough for 'on-the-job training” in today's world.
