Highly qualified Corbett will get things done
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 1, 2009 12:41 am
We support Ron Corbett in his bid to be the next mayor of Cedar Rapids.
Our city faces many challenges from the flood of 2008 and from overall adverse economic conditions impacting our entire country. Replacing lost jobs and expanding our economic base must be a primary goal for our community.
Ron is uniquely qualified to assist in economic development efforts given his experience leading our Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, his history as a small-business owner and his demonstrated ability to get things done.
At the same time, Ron is committed to implementing the wishes of Cedar Rapids' taxpayers who voted for the one percent local-option sales tax to assist our flooded neighborhoods. Ron will help craft a transparent and well-considered plan to get dollars on the street to help our neighbors as soon as possible.
Let's get Cedar Rapids back on track. Please vote for Ron Corbett.
