Hiawatha Post Office happy to help

To the editor:
I mailed two large boxes from Marco Island, Fla., to Cedar Rapids. The post office in Marco told me they would take about a week to arrive in Cedar Rapids.
I arrived in Cedar Rapids and one of the boxes arrived four days after being mailed. The other box was nowhere to be found. (I kept tracking the box with the post office tracking system). The system kept telling me that the box had left Jacksonville, Fla., and was en route. After waiting seven days I went to the northeast post office to ask for help in locating the second box, only to be told that the box should be in Cedar Rapids in a few days.
I waited another three days, no box. This time, I went to our main post office asking for help in locating the second box only to be told that I could put a tracer on the box, but that there would be an additional charge.
So, very frustrated with the Cedar Rapids postal system, I drove to the Hiawatha post office and asked for help in locating my second box, explaining my situation and frustration. Employee Colleen Burianek cheerfully took information from me, expedited the box and it was delivered to my home the following morning. She is truly a public servant and the Hiawatha post office is lucky to have such as employee. It's Hiawatha from now on. Shame on you, Cedar Rapids.
