Thoma's Meat Market, at the corner of Muscatine Ave. and Court St. has been a wonderful addition to our neighborhood, and all Iowa City. I'm worried, with the construction closure on Court St. their business will be threatened with declining sales. With previous long street closures on Gilbert St. and Rochester Ave., a few businesses there ended up being forced to close because of loss of customers.
If you've been a regular Thoma's customer, please stick with them. And if you've never been there, stop by and see what a great local butcher shop looks like — you'll be coming back.
