Health reform leads to government takeover
The Gazette Opinion Staff

If this health care reform law is so great, then why would President Barak Obama in his Iowa City speech state that this puts us one step closer to universal health care?
The only answer is that this bill makes everything worse on purpose. To have universal health care, you have to first destroy the free market.
Thus, the true meaning of this bill is to make more people dependent on the government for their needs, increase the cost of health care by having the government subsidize it, regulate the insurance companies until they can no longer do business, and create more bureaucracy until everybody gets so confused, upset and fed up with the system that the only option is for the government to step in and take over.
