Health care system headed for collapse
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 16, 2010 11:53 pm
One of our nation's health care corporations, WellPoint, recently announced a $2.7 billion profit for the fourth quarter of 2009. And that's just the profit of one health insurance corporation. And Republican politicians want us to believe that universal health care would be too expensive?
While the corporate bosses at WellPoint were high-fiving each other over those profits, some Americans were dying and others suffering greatly because they were unable to afford the outrageous premiums.
Remember, you get the government you vote for. If don't favor reforming the system because you think your personal health care is OK now, you're being shortsighted.
The entire system is headed for collapse. Yours included.
