Health care reform bill only increases deficit
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 16, 2009 11:39 pm
The spending machine in Washington just keeps grinding away.
Let's say you had a few too many at a party, put on your swim trunks and rolled round in a snow bank. The next day, you show up at your doctor with a bad cold. You doctor tells you: “I have just the remedy! Go home, put on your swim trunks and roll around in a snow bank.” I don't know about you, but I would probably change doctors.
In its present, 2,000-page form, the health care “reform” bill will not save money; it will add billions to the national debt. Former President Bill Clinton advises Nancy Pelosi and her loyal minions to pass something, anything, and be those who won. The winners are the ones who go down it history.
Well Nero went down in history, fiddling away while Rome burned.
