Hayes is a man of integrity

Ever since he moved to Cedar Rapids in 1988, Bernie Hayes has been making a positive mark on our community, and I am so proud to endorse him for the Iowa Senate. My husband and I have seen first hand his integrity, strong and caring leadership, and heart for people of all ages--but especially for underprivileged children and youth. Not only is he involved in leadership at our church, but he also drives countless hours every Wednesday night to bring children to our youth outreach program, AWANA, which he has led for many years. He also cares deeply for those who need a second chance in life by being involved in a monthly ministry to reach out to those in prison.

Bernie is honest, hard working, and concerned about helping families succeed and stay together.
