Have faith in Jesus, not politicians
The Gazette Opinion Staff

America's become a society addicted not only to conveniences designed more to satisfy desires than enhance quality of life, but a physical craving for the ultimate addictive drugs of adrenaline and endorphins. Abused by spiritually weak-minded individuals seeking tangible reasons to keep living other than having “faith” in the living God.
People coveting all that is in the world seek to intimidate scripture-believing Christians into silence by labeling them less than Christ-like. Holding up the legalist, who thinks quoting God's word will sow seeds of faith, because they know those living the gospel message, speaking scriptures with God's love, and true to the complete tapestry of both Old and New testaments are doing God's will.
On May 30, in “Old Testament not guide for behavior” by Jim Slitor, some scriptures are called “ridiculous ... not to be used” to guide us in how we treat one another, then why call yourself a “Christian” (reread 2 Timothy 3:16)?
A June 1 letter, “Obama target of witch hunt by Congress,” by Rose Grove, states, “This is the person we voted for and have faith in.” I have never had “faith” in any politician, because the anchor of my soul is in the only hope of my heart, which is in Christ Jesus alone.
