Sen. Grassley, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is holding hearings on judicial injunctions placed on Trump administration actions. He says Federal judges have "hobbled" the Executive Branch.
Sen. Grassley has served in the Senate for 44 years. Judges have issued injunctions this entire time through seven presidents.
For 41 years Grassley has known it is the duty of Federal Judges to issue injunctions when they have reason to suspect our Constitution is being violated. Readers are reminded, the Constitution and its coequal three branches of government keep us safe and free.
So, what's new? Has Grassley succumbed to the heavy hand of Trump and Musk? After all these years has the Senator decided Washington, Adams, Franklin, Madison, Monroe and Jefferson were wrong and Donald Trump is the constitutional expert?
The Senator may simply be changing the subject from tariffs and the Farm Bill as it nears expiration.
If some of Trump's actions are being hobbled, it is because they need hobbling.
