Harkin needs to vote no on faulty bills

There are two bills now under discussion in the U.S. Senate. Both of these bills are a serious threat to our financial situation, freedom and free enterprise system.
One is called Cap and Trade, which would impose severe costs and penalties on our electrical system. It would increase costs 25 to 33 percent in our electricity because of restrictions and added charges to coal-fired generating plants. Most of the electricity in the Midwest is generated by coal-fired plants. We do not have air pollution problems in the Midwest.
The other bad bill is health care reform. It also is a very costly and unnecessary burden upon us.
Government-controlled health care is inefficient and restricts freedom. We cannot afford this huge financial burden in an already overtaxed economy that is going into disastrous debt that will result in rampant inflation and jeopardize our future.
Let Sen. Tom Harkin know that we do not want him to vote for these two faulty bills. If he really represents Iowa, he will vote no on both of them.
