Kudos to all the music teachers and students this past week who participated in honor choirs, honor bands, All-State music performances and recitals.
We had the privilege of watching our granddaughter perform with the WAMAC conference honor band at Benton Community schools Nov. 16 and the Nov. 18 performance of the OPUS state honor choirs in Ames.
On Saturday, we once again went to Ames to see our grandson perform with the Iowa Collegiate Honor Band. On Sunday, we went to see our twin grandsons' piano recital performance in Center Point.
What a week of performance, pride and awe. It took an incredible amount of organization and preparation to make these wonderful events happen. Hundreds of music teachers, students and their parents put forth the efforts to make a memorable week of music in Iowa. Bravo!
