H.W. Bush commission sent U.S. jobs overseas

We hear the outcry about President Obama raising the national debt, trying to keep the country from going over a cliff. They complain about what it's doing to younger and future generations. A valid concern. However, I wonder if anyone has considered another cause of our current problems that began many years before we ever heard of Obama.
During the administration of President H.W. Bush, “60 Minutes” featured an interview with the head of a commission appointed by the president. The commission was to promote the idea of American companies sending jobs overseas to help develop other countries. I thought surely it would eventually shortchange American workers but then who was I? Time has proved me right.
On television Friday, there was a story about an unemployed young man who sent out 500 resumes, got two interviews, but no job. He decided since jobs are being sent overseas, he'd go there to find one. He was successful finding one in India. Here's an example of what that brilliant idea is doing to our younger generation, and it had nothing to do with Obama.
Some claim that many people on unemployment enjoy their life of leisure and don't want to work. That doesn't describe the above-mentioned young man or the thousands unable to pay their mortgages.
