As a thriving community, Coralville is a great place for raising a family and setting down roots. However, this growth and prosperity also requires strong leadership to ensure we stay on the right course in the years ahead.
That's why I'm voting for Mitch Gross for another term on the Coralville City Council. Mitch's leadership has seen our community through many trying times including the flood of 2008 and the subsequent recovery as well as an ever-challenging economic climate.
I also admire Mitch's commitment to service. First, his service in the classroom and on the tennis courts at West High School as a teacher and coach, undertaking the critical task of educating our community's next generation of leaders. It may not be surprising that teaching government led Mitch to service on our city council.
All of us who are parents know that there just aren't enough hours in the day. Civic service requires a tremendous sacrifice especially when you have small children at home like the Gross family. That's why many don't get off the bench.
Mitch has stepped forward and dedicated his time and energy to making our community a better place both in the classroom and in the council chamber.
