Greed, power lead to failure

Is the Republican Party's “new road map” the exact same as the “old road map” only said friendlier? The party still seems to be telling me that I don't deserve my Social Security check and health care for someone my age should be available only to those who can afford hundreds of dollars for a doctor's office visit and $20,000 or more for even the simplest surgeries. How nicely can the party tell me this so that I won't realize they mean “get stuffed”?!
The same goes for the working poor, immigrants who work hard in this country and women and girls who want to control their own reproductive health. I am sure these groups of Americans are not the major problem this country faces. Just like a playground bully, the Republican Party and the oligarchs behind them see us as uneducated and the least able to defend ourselves financially.
Our democracy will fail as all others have when the elected officials are overcome by greed and desire for power. The question is, “Are we there yet?”
