Grassley reflects the will of Iowans

The Friday letter by Paul Deaton (“Grassley working for interests, not people”) must not go unanswered. While the writer felt that Sen. Chuck Grassley was not working for him, I definitely feel that he is working for me!
Grassley is doing everything he can to keep spending down in Washington. That makes him mighty unpopular with the liberal set. He's the guy who asks tough questions, especially about money. My money - and your money.
As one example, he did vote my wishes on the health care bill, the bill that was essentially jammed down the throats of the American people by the ruling party because, as a well-known Democratic leader said, “We won the election!”
That health care bill creates not a few but dozens and dozens of new government agencies. That growth in government itself should have been reason to not approve it, regardless of any good which might come of it regarding health care.
Grassley accurately reflects the will of Iowans. I'll do what I can to make sure he continues to be the one representing me in the U.S. Senate.
