Grandparents play nurturing role

What role does a grandmother play in a grandchild's life? First and foremost, we are the provider of unconditional love and protection. We are cookie makers, art teachers, silly playmates, nap-mates, sand castle builders, mud pie makers and loving guidance counselors. We grandmas love our grandchildren to the moon and back.
Five grandkid's lives were forever changed with the violent murder of Cathy Stickley.
My grandchild lost his Grandma “Mimi” on April 29. Does he understand? No! He thinks if we take strawberries to Mimi that she'll come home from the hospital to play and paint again.
