Government should be a reflection of the people

As we see another festival of our freedom, I am urged to comment on the most important part of this freedom.
Our country was established with a government that is of the people, by the people and for the people. That means our elected officials work for each of us and not primarily to get reelected. Term limits on government officials would help improve how government operates, which is in need of improvement.
Our country will move forward if its government is truly a reflection of the people. The people have made America who she is today. Each of us has a responsibility to help maintain our pride in America and remember her history of desired equality for all and a willingness to achieve that equality every single day, one step at a time.
Ask yourself: Is government representative of me?
