GOP unfairly targeted in Limbaugh fallout
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Political party propaganda should be recognized for what it is, half truth if not outright lies. As an example of political propaganda, see the March 17 letter: “Sad that no Republican condemned Limbaugh.”
Rush Limbaugh has not said that he is a Republican; he is a conservative and there is a difference. He has apologized for his poor choice of words. I know of nobody in the Republican party who is afraid of the political power of Limbaugh. Could it be that the Republican candidates did not want to get caught up in a partisan-directed, self-serving conflict? Condemning Limbaugh's utterance is appropriate; he was wrong. That he was wrong has nothing to do with any of the Republican personalities.
Numerous Democrat media personalities have stated and uttered much worse language than Limbaugh about Republican-associated women and there is no utterance of concern or condemnation from the liberal side about that. I haven't heard any Republican use the “C” word or the “T” word when speaking of a Democrat woman. I have not heard any Republican say derogatory words about a Democrat member's Down syndrome child or make sexually explicit jokes about that same person's daughter like the Democrat personality did. The “Sad” article proposes to demonize an entire political party because of the action of one repentant individual.
