GOP succeeds by hurting workers, unions
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 25, 2011 12:43 am
Ignorant editorials about unions keep being posted but to accuse unions as being the reason our country has high unemployment and anemic growth only shows again how ignorant so many are.
I have yet to see a resume for any Republican that says what his or her accomplishments are and what and how he or she is going to change things.
Instead, I see a bunch of rich Republicans
complaining about the working class actually wanting to negotiate their wages and conditions. There is so much more to a union.
Money to a company to save thousands of jobs in the USA - wow, hard decision. Maybe we should have given that money to the bank - oops, we did. All the candidates who are running for president and feel they can do so much better, show me your business and how you take care of your employees.
And, oh, yes, tax cuts for the rich and subsidies for the oil companies with record profits. Money frivolously spent. This is from the Republicans.
And, let's see, we want to work on overhauling Social Security, making people work longer while the growth of our workforce increases every year with new graduates from school and college. We need double-digit growth to cover both ends. Work on something else and work on how to grow Social Security. Better jobs and better wages makes the problem go away.
