GOP delivered empty promises, disaster
N/A
Oct. 30, 2010 12:29 am
Let's get real here.
The GOP will do anything to get elected, even if it means stretching the truth or even lying about the facts.
Mariannette Miller-Meeks says Dave Loebsack votes with Pelosi 97 percent of the time. Pelosi only voted on 6 percent of all House bills. That means Loebsack voted for Iowans 94 percent of the time. Miller-Meeks hasn't offered anything for Iowans, other than her lack of government knowledge.
Chuck Grassley says he works for “us.” Who is this “us” he's talking about? Why it's the banks, Wall Street, oil companies and the health insurance industry. Together they gave $2.2 million to his campaign this year alone. His campaign should say he “works against us” if he's referring to Iowans.
Terry Branstad cost this state millions in tax dollars and lies about the unemployment numbers during his tenure. Does anyone want to go back to those times? Chet Culver saved this state from the GOP=created disaster, and he deserves credit.
We gave the GOP too many chances, and all we got were empty promises. Time to let Dave Loebsack, Roxanne Conlin and Chet Culver have a chance to get Iowans out of this GOP mess they got us in.
