Gonzalez’s experience good for Linn treasurer
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 12, 2010 5:22 pm
On Nov. 2, voters in Linn County will have the opportunity to elect a new treasurer. Sharon Gonzalez is by far the most qualified person to fill this position. She has more than 30 years of experience with the Linn County Treasurer's Office, mostly in a supervisory position as a deputy in the Motor Vehicle Division. This experience has given her an opportunity to know how to capitalize on the strengths of this department.
Over the years, I worked with many treasurer's offices across the state of Iowa. I found that Linn County has the most efficient, knowledgeable and courteous staff, in great part because of Gonzalez's leadership. She is proposing many new ideas to make the treasurer's office run even more smoothly, saving taxpayers money in the process.
Don't let the opportunity to improve Linn County government pass by.
