Golding statements uphold governor

During the first debate between Cindy Golding and Liz Mathis, Golding stated she was not Gov. Branstad's first choice for the seat in Senate District 18 and is not his rubber stamp. However, her statements and ideas certainly go hand in hand with his philosophy.
Golding said Iowa businesses are over regulated by government. One wonders since she currently has four businesses and lives on a 36 acre estate, Which regulations does she want repealed? It appears the current system has treated her quite well.
Todd Dorman wrote: “(Golding) spent much of our interview condemning regulations she says are costly, even ‘silly,' from health insurance mandates to unemployment taxes ….” Are these silly regulations if you are the injured person who may be unable to work due to a job related injury?
Des Moines Register editorial (Oct. 10) by John Deeth stated that Golding has made it clear that she's unwilling to move from her 36-acre, $855,400 estate, in order to seek re-election in 2012 when the new districts are in place. The real question that needs to be asked is why would voters in the 18th Senate District choose someone who has no dedication or commitment to them?
Liz Mathis, with firm roots in Iowa and value based ideas, is the clear choice for Senate District 18.
