Going with traffic flow costs visitor, city

On July 5, I was on a road trip with my son and grandson to Pennsylvania. Being from Fairmont, Minn., we make regular trips to the Twin Cities. I found that in order to not impede traffic in the metro area, I go with the flow of traffic, traveling in the left lane.
On this trip, we were going through Cedar Rapids on Interstate 380. I was going with the flow of traffic in the left lane. I wasn't paying close attention to the speed limit.
Several days after returning home, I received a Notice of Violation in the mail. I'm glad I didn't throw it away since it looked like junk mail. I was informed that I was traveling at 67 in a 55 mph zone. The letter showed pictures of my car and license plate and the imposition of a civil fine of $75. I suppose this is a revenue source for the city of Cedar Rapids.
On many occasions traveling through the city, we usually stopped for fuel and food; sometimes my wife liked to go shopping. (We lived in Cedar Rapids for 10 years when I worked for Collins Radio.) From now on when we travel through Cedar Rapids, we will follow the speed limit, even though we will impede traffic - and we will not stop for fuel, food or go shopping.
