Glasson supports health care for all

Wouldn't it be nice if no one had to worry about whether their illness, procedure, operation or office call was paid for? This level of anxiety doesn't exist in other wealthy, industrialized countries. What I am talking about is peace of mind.
Health care is an industry that uses money as its metric for success, not the welfare of patients; talk to any nurse or health care worker, they will agree, budget is the metric.
Today we are subsidizing a model that operates on denial of care. We can implement universal single payer. House File 2352 will do that. This bill establishes the healthy Iowa program to provide universal health coverage for every Iowan.
In this system, publicly financed and publicly delivered, all would contribute and all would benefit. People would not be tied to their job in order to receive insurance.
Cathy Glasson, candidate for governor, will fight for universal health care because as an ICU nurse she understands it is a matter of life and death, not someone's bottom line.
Iowa needs a governor to fight for every Iowan to get the care they need through universal health care.
