Giving thanks for those who help during blizzard
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Yes, I was one of the foolish ones who thought I could get to my third shift job in the middle of the blizzard recently. I was wrong and ended up in the middle of the median on Highway 30.
My thanks to the wonderful police officer who got me out of my car and off Highway 30. To my great brother who met us and took me into work, and to the Darrah's towing operator who had my car back on the road in less than 24 hours.
These incredible people turned what could have been a catastrophe into a tolerable situation.
