Give it to us straight, governor

Well, we've arrived at a time in this pandemic, where certain parties with vested interests, are looking to 'reopen” our country to business as usual. When I was growing up, there was a saying, 'What's good for GM is good for America!” We all know that in 2020, in Washington, D.C., you substitute Trump in place of General Motors. After all, the president, in his own words, calls the shots.
That was enough to ruffle the feathers of our own resident GOP virus guru, Gov. Kim Reynolds, who has stated, 'I will decide when to ‘reopen!'” With her mystery metrics and her council of unnamed experts we can all find comfort in her calling the shots.
I would prefer that we the people possessed all the facts that those in power have. Actual numbers-driven data that proves the safety of public interaction. I am a 66 year-old Iowan, who smoked like a stove until 2007 and probably has a high risk of dying should I contract this Covid19. As Sgt. Joe Friday used to say, ' Just give us the facts, ma'am.”
