Girl Up improves lives of participants

It is important that every child receive an education. While it is sometimes taken for granted, it could be the difference between life and death for young girls in developing countries.
Girl Up is run through the Iowa United Nations Association and provides important opportunities for girls throughout the world. With proper education, girls will be more likely to seek out health care, invest income back into their family and community and marry at a later age while avoiding abuse as a result.
Girl Up is helping to prepare these girls to become future leaders.
