Get rid of the career politician

Ever heard of the word “homesteader”? A homesteader is defined as a person who acquires or settles on land under a homestead law. It looks like the Democrats have taken this to heart and are permanently settled in Washington D.C. This is especially true of those from the Northeast United States and California.
Hillary Clinton, former senator of New York, John Kerry, former senator of Maine, Joe Biden, former senator of Delaware, Patrick Leahy, senator from Vermont and Charles Schumer, senator from New York, are examples of those who have this “Northeast syndrome.”
In California, representatives Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, Maxine Waters, Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer are also cases in point - they love their homesteading, too. By the way, Sen. Tom Harkin of Iowa is finally leaving Washington after 40 years (Amen).
You may call this problem an East and West Coast mentality, but it's not. It does tell us, however, we need to limit the years a person, be it Democrat or Republican, should be allowed to “homestead” in Washington. We should all work to get rid of the career politician.
