Get back to conservative values, smaller government
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am replying to the Nov. 23 letter, “Limited government must make a return,” by John Kittleson. I agree that we must return to responsible, conservative government that lives within its means. I also agree that if we don't limit our government's power, that we will find ourselves with fewer freedoms.
With the unemployment rate at 9.6 percent or higher and possibly rising, we must return to a more limited government and let the business create more jobs to get our economy jump-started.
Until we get our economy back on track and limit our government, we will always have this problem. Our Founding Fathers understood the danger of having too powerful of a government - let's get back to more conservative values.
