Gazette commended for endorsement

To the Editor:
I want to commend The Gazette for the endorsement of Joe Spinks for Marion mayor. I have lived in Marion for all but 15 years since 1960 (and for the past 28 years) and your article was 'right on.”
Marion has been and continues to be in dire need of a city council that realizes who is paying the bills - the citizen taxpayers - and it's time that the interests, desires and priorities of the bill payers are not only heard but acted upon. However, the smart money is betting that the past is going to continue into the future after the November election unless both Dwight Hogan and Kay Lammers are also successful in their bid for election.
