Garlock will advocate for students and staff

We are very fortunate as a city to have so many dedicated and community minded individuals who are willing to put their names on the ballot for next week's school and municipal elections. Cindy Garlock is someone who believes strongly in the value of public education and has the experience and perspective as a former classroom teacher that would be an asset to the current school board.

Cindy has strong community ties and is someone who will advocate for all students as well as the staff that work with those students everyday. We need board members who respect the work of the hard working employees of the district and are willing to listen to their concerns about working conditions, student behavior, and fair wages. The Cedar Rapids Community School District has many issues that it needs to confront in the coming years and Cindy would be fair minded and open to suggestions from the community in helping chart the best course forward. I truly appreciate the commitment of all of those that are running for these offices and am of the opinion that Cindy Garlock is the best choice for school board for the Cedar Rapids Community School District.
