Games in Des Moines good for all universities

Recently there have been discussions regarding Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines hosting basketball matchups between University of Iowa, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa and Drake University. I believe this is an excellent idea. It should involve both men and women's teams.
Furthermore, this event should include a showcase of each university's academic strengths. The arena would be sold out. Recent Iowa and Iowa State games against Creighton prove this.
The adjoining Hy-Vee Hall could be used by each university to set up booths showcasing their academic strengths. Having facility and administration available from each school to visit with Iowa high school students and community college students would be invaluable.
In addition, each school could showcase some of its outstanding research endeavor's that are helping to improve the quality of life for Iowans and the rest of the world. Collecting millions of dollars of federal grants helps employ many faculty, students and staff in these research projects. Higher education in Iowa is a good buy for Iowa students and this event would help in their decision-making process.
Administrators, athletic directors and Wells Fargo management should start discussions so that this idea can come to fruition sooner rather than later. Showcasing the state's university basketball, academia and research strength is a win for all.
