Form of government change disastrous

Regarding the Sept. 2 letter by Jim Cannon: It seems he doesn't care for our new form of government. I am shocked because he was an advocate to remove the commission form and took petitions out to get enough signatures to bring this new style of government to a vote.
It was Cannon and the present mayor (who at the time was with the Chamber of Commerce) who helped to discard the commission form.
I do not believe they understood how clearly the commission form was working. Outside of the flood of 2008, removing the commission form was the biggest disaster Cedar Rapids has endured and will for years to come.
