For social distancing, try the woods

The COVID-19 virus is forcing organizations to prudently curtail gatherings and people to sequester themselves in their homes and apartments. Ironically this increases social isolation. There is a partial solution.
Being in nature is healthy for body and mind. Coronavirus does not lurk in the woods. Spring's warmth offers an opportunity to vacate the house and walk a trail, plant a garden, or sit outdoors in the sunshine.
Iowans are fortunate to have ready access to plentiful parks and trails. Never has nature been more important for mental and physical health.
