Focus on the spirit of giving this season

To the editor:
Will you? What will you say when your child asks, 'Who is Jesus?” Will you recall a childhood memory of a nativity scene? Will you remember a church or school play that honored the baby in a manger of hay?
It's a sad thing that we cannot share this experience with our children and teach old fashioned Christian values. We no longer focus on the spirit of giving, but on ourselves and our possessions. The world decorates and lights up a tree and refuses to believe what they cannot see. It is the world's choice to reject the Christ story. But leave us our freedom to give God the Glory. Christmas is all about Jesus. It is not 'all about me.” Will you bring back old-fashioned Christian values? Or will you shed tears in Heaven tomorrow, for the child lost to the world today? Lead your family in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord. We must stand up for Jesus while we still can. Let's bring back Christmas and our freedom to celebrate it.
