Flooded-out homes still being ignored
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 27, 2010 12:49 am
We are surrounded by those empty flood homes, with the exception of one, still boarded-up home. No other yards or grassy areas have been mowed since before the flood. Now those houses are falling apart. Broken windows, doors ajar, etc., so who is going to do something about all those eyesores and when?
If our mayor could find the time, perhaps he can visit our neighborhood and he can see for himself what we Cedar Rapids residents have been talking about.
