Flood insurance is protection you need

If you vote “yes” on Tuesday, you're taxing yourself for 10 more years to protect a few property owners who chose to stay in the flood zone. Now, for you people who choose to stay in the flood zone, buy flood insurance like I did for 20 years while living in the flood zone, then you won't need a flood wall. Don't ask us other taxpayers to be responsible for your property again.
For all you seniors like myself, we all suffer when our city, county, state and federal raise our taxes and we may never see how they're used.
