Flax tax primarily benefits the wealthy

Gov. Kim Reynolds signed the Republican-backed flat tax measure into law on March 1. It’s a measure that will benefit the wealthy; have little impact on the working men and women who live paycheck to paycheck; and eventually reduce the state's coffers by $1.9 billion dollars annually. So while the rich political backers of the Republican Party get even richer, we can look forward to the loss of state funded programs and services like mental health grants and homelessness services. Great. But I don’t want to hear or read about it when there is an uptick in crime down the road.
