Fishermen deserve more access to Macbride
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Hey, fishermen, how dumb can we get? We've been putting our money into the local economy and small businesses buying boats, gas, bait and much more when we should have been holding benefits and fundraisers for a few elected officials to be sure they vote our way so we can use our own Lake Macbride for a change instead of when they choose to let us.
Oh, well, we live and learn. By the way, the bill as I understand it never got out of subcommittee to even be debated. I thank the legislators who tried to get it passed, maybe next time. It's not going away and neither are we.
Also, I bet the “owners” of the lake would welcome us to pick up trash and mow this summer as the Department of Natural Resources is running out of money. I wonder why? Think about it next time.
